The Phoenix Theater

When founders Melanie Calderwood and Debbie Palomera revitalized the former Edge of the World Theater, they had a simple goal: to unite a community through laughter. The renamed Phoenix Theater now hosts acting, improv, and writing classes and interactive workshops, while Calderwood and Palomera have received national recognition.

Gallery North

While the Cascadia Art Museum houses historical pieces, Gallery North’s modern art showcase allows local artists the opportunity to display their galleries and run the shop. Shoppers can then meet the creators and hear the stories behind each piece before purchasing paintings, photographs, sculptures, and other works of art.

WhirlyBall

WhirlyBall combines the team play of basketball with the battery-powered fun of bumper cars. The result? A completely unique and totally thrilling group experience. Hop into a WhirlyBug and drive with one hand while catching and throwing a ball. After the game, head to the snack bar for a healthy bite, soda, or beer with friends and family.

The Edmonds Historical Museum

Located in the Carnegie Library, the Edmonds-South Snohomish County Historical Society established the Edmonds Historical Museum in 1973. Since then, volunteers have gathered local artifacts and historical documents to add to the museum’s collection, including mainstays like the original school bell from the Edmonds Elementary School House.

Edmonds’ Historic Log Cabin

Now known as the Ganahl-Hanley Cabin, the Edmonds Historic Log Cabin dates back to the 1930s. The original builders modeled the cabin after Yellowstone Park’s guest cabins, though subsequent owners upgraded the structure with hints of Scandinavian style.

In 1976, the city designated the building as the Bicentennial Cabin. It now houses the Edmonds’ Visitors Information Center, which you can visit Monday through Saturday for information on community events, historical facts, and more.

Cole Gallery

Renowned artist Denise Cole launched the Cole Gallery in 2006. Fifteen years later, the art gallery has become Edmonds’ hub for art, culture, and hands-on instruction from nationally recognized artists.
