Are you preparing for a long move? Moving from one place to another presents unique…
Updates: We Are Fully Operational
UPDATE 4/6: We will be continuing our essential operations as normal. We are complying with the CDC by wearing gloves, face masks, and sanitizing equipment. Learn more about the CDC guidelines to protect ourselves and others from COVID-19.
UPDATE 3/23: The governor has placed Washington under a “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order, except for businesses considered essential. On The Go Moving is part of the sector considered an essential service and will remain open for business as usual.
Translation: we’re not looking at an industry-wide closure like bars and restaurants, and there’s no chance your move could be canceled due to a government shelter-in-place order.
Previous News: COVID-19: On The Go Places Measures for Healthy Safe Moves | Moving During Coronavirus
Dear Valued On the Go Clients
For the health of you and our service pros, we’ve put some additional measures in place to make sure your moving process stays as safe and clean as possible:
- High touch surfaces on the inside and outside of our trucks (steering wheels, dolly’s, etc) are being cleaned with disinfectant wipes at the beginning and end of each shift.
- In addition to wearing gloves, each service pro has an adequate supply of hand sanitizer and sterile wipes to use at their disposal.
Any employee that comes in close contact with or receives a positive, or presumptive positive test, for COVID-19 will be asked to follow the Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines and stay home (we have not had any employees come in contact or test positive for the virus)
On the Go Moving and Storage is running as scheduled. As the situation around COVID-19 evolves, we will update our plans and share information with you. If the CDC or other health organizations recommend further action, we will follow accordingly and let you know immediately.
Two Things to Note:
- Please notify On the Go Moving and Storage if you or any of the members of your household are experiencing symptoms.
- All appointment cancellations and reschedules related to COVID-19 will proceed with no cancelation fees.
Thanks for your continued partnership.
Sincerely,

Operations Manager – On The Go Moving and Storage
A Letter to Our Employees
Dear Employees:
On the go moving and storage recognizes that authorities in Washington and in other geographical areas across the country have ordered the restriction of certain work and travel because of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, trucking industry employees are exempt from these orders under the Office of Homeland Security guidance because they provide critical transportation services and are an essential business. All freight is considered essential, regardless of commodity, however, it may not be subject to the Hours of Service temporary waiver which was put in place effective Friday, March 13th.
Due to the nature and critical needs of the public, On the go moving and storage will continue its regular operations under this authority. Therefore, all On the go moving and storage employees should continue to report to work at their regularly scheduled time and location, unless otherwise notified.
We pride ourselves on continuing to provide service to our customers to meet the needs of every citizen in Washington, despite the challenges we face. And On the Go Moving and storage is grateful to you and the team for all you’re doing. It means a lot, maybe more than ever, that you are answering this call.
Please keep this letter with you for additional TRAVEL AUTHORIZATION. On page two of this letter, we have provided guidance in the event you are questioned by government authorities.
If you have questions regarding this information, please contact Jason Sexton or Scot Kruse.
Sincerely,
Jason Sexton
